Medical Assistant

Combination clinical including some phlebotomy and clerical.

Full time Position Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm at our Huntersville location. 

 

Requirements/ Responsibilities

  • Supports and functions under the direction of the care team with various office and clinical duties to keep our healthcare practice running efficiently 

  • May receive direction from an MD, mid-level provider, RN, and or the assigned supervisor exemplifying caring and compassionate customer service to create an excellent patient experience 

  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills and decisive judgment in an often-hectic environment and possess the ability to work cohesively on a team and independently with minimal supervision 

  • Provide exemplary interpersonal skills and ability to interact with patients, families and staff 

  • Administrative duties may include, but are not limited to answering telephones, welcoming patients in person, online and on the phone, updating, and filing patient medical records, scheduling appointments, handling correspondence, managing inventory, ordering supplies, billing, bookkeeping, and other clerical duties 

  • Must have phlebotomy experience and be willing to assist in our sexual health program using assigned modalities

 

Education

  • High school diploma or 5 year equivalent clerical/clinical experience 

  • Phlebotomy and CMA required 

  • MOA a plus but not required
