Rachael Casale
Phlebotomist/GAINSWave® Specialist
Rachael, is our resident phlebotomist and sexual health specialist. Earning her phlebotomy certification in 2022, Rachael came to Charlotte from Long Island in 2023. When not serving patients here or at the hospital, you'll catch Rachael making nutritious meals for her daughter and relaxing with her favorite TV shows.
Trish Miranda
Medical Receptionist / Patient Care Coordinator
After years of working in traditional health care, and dealing with multiple health issues that were ignored by her own doctor, Trish was led to Dr. Benton as a patient in 2017. Going through the functional medicine program, Trish's health improved dramatically, and her eyes were opened to the benefits of root-cause, multi-faceted, integrative treatment. Trish joined our practice this year, in 2024.
She enjoys building relationships with patients, sharing her personal success story, and being a part of other's healing journey. In her free time, you can find Trish spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and friends. She enjoys outdoor activities such as the beach, hiking and anything to help her reach her step-goal. Hosting get-togethers with friends and family is also a favorite past time.
Karen Simmons
Medical Receptionist /Administration Support
Karen worked as project manager and analyst for many years before taking time off to be home with her family. Personal health issues brought her to Benton Integrative Medicine in 2019. Her health journey over the past few years has been enlightening and spawned her desire to work in an area that spoke to her heart. On her time off she enjoys cooking, gardening, reading and long hikes with her family
Monica Rogers
Front Desk Administrator
Monica grew up in Transylvania, Romania and her love for history and cultures brought her to the United States in her early 20's, just as communism collapsed in that country and huge changes were on the horizon.
Monica lived in San Diego, CA; Napoli, Italy; Evansville, IN; and has lived in the Lake Norman area for the past 25 years. She held an administrative position in each location at various companies. But her biggest accomplishment is her young adult children, who she happily supported in the role of homemaker for many years. Now she is in a new season in her life—back to doing what she likes most: helping other people.
Monica and her adult children live in Mooresville with her two rescue dogs.

As a dedicated medical front desk professional, I strive to create a welcoming and organized environment for patients and staff alike. My passion for holistic medicine stems from my own commitment to leading a healthy and active lifestyle. Outside of work, I enjoy going to church, spending time with my family, watching my kid’s sports, spending time in the woods hunting in the fall, traveling and embracing wellness in all aspects of life. I believe in providing compassionate support while ensuring every patient’s experience is as smooth and positive as possible
