  • Neural Therapy | Benton Integrative Medicine | Huntersville, Denver, Charlotte NC

Discover neural therapy in Charlotte and Lake Norman at Benton Integrative Medicine. Support nervous system regulation, chronic pain relief, scar healing, and whole-body wellness with an integrative approach. Personalized care in Huntersville, Denver, Davidson, Lake Norman, Cornelius, Moorseville, and Charlotte NC. Neural Therapy in Charlotte and Lake Norman Restore Communication. Regulate the Nervous System. Support Healing From the Inside Out. At Benton Integrative Medicine, we believe the body is designed to heal when communication systems are functioning properly. Neural therapy is one of the ways we help restore that communication—supporting nervous system regulation, reducing interference patterns, and encouraging the body’s innate healing response. Serving patients throughout the Charlotte, Huntersville, Denver, Cornelius, Mooresville, and Lake Norman areas, our integrative team uses neural therapy as part of a personalized, root-cause approach to wellness and recovery. What is Neural Therapy Neural therapy is a gentle treatment that uses small amounts of a local anesthetic—most commonly procaine—to help reset dysfunctional nervous system signaling patterns within the body. Over time, injuries, surgeries, scars, infections, chronic inflammation, stress, or trauma can create what are known as “interference fields.” These areas may disrupt normal communication within the autonomic nervous system and contribute to persistent symptoms elsewhere in the body. Neural therapy aims to restore healthy communication and regulation so the body can function more efficiently and heal more effectively. Unlike traditional injections that are designed only to suppress pain or inflammation, neural therapy focuses on supporting the nervous system itself. How Neural Therapy Works The autonomic nervous system helps regulate: Pain signaling Inflammation Organ function Circulation Hormonal balance Stress response Healing and repair When communication becomes disrupted, the body may remain stuck in patterns of tension, inflammation, or dysregulation. Neural therapy works by helping interrupt these dysfunctional signaling loops and supporting a more balanced physiologic state. Many patients report: A sense of calm or relaxation Reduced tension Improved mobility Better regulation and resilience Symptom improvement over time Understanding Neural Therapy Conditions Neural Therapy May Support Patients in the Charlotte and Lake Norman area often seek neural therapy for support with: Chronic pain Neck and back pain Scar tissue discomfort or restriction C-section scars and surgical scars Headaches and migraines TMJ dysfunction Chronic inflammation Stress-related nervous system dysregulation Autonomic imbalance Digestive complaints Hormonal imbalance Injury recovery Persistent symptoms that have not fully responded to traditional therapies Because neural therapy addresses nervous system communication, many patients notice benefits that extend beyond the original treatment area. What to Expect During Treatment During your session, a provider will evaluate your health history, symptoms, scars, and nervous system patterns to determine appropriate treatment areas. The procedure involves very small, superficial injections using a local anesthetic solution. Most patients tolerate treatment well. Treatment plans are individualized, but many patients begin with a series of 3–5 sessions for cumulative benefit. Neural therapy may also be combined with other integrative services including: Functional medicine Lifestyle and nutrition support HeartMath® and nervous system regulation work Acupuncture Sauna and red light therapy BioCharger sessions Wellness coaching Schedule a Neural Therapy Consultation If you are looking for a more integrative, nervous-system-focused approach to healing, neural therapy may be an option worth exploring. CALL NOW (704-775-6029) to Get Started Neural Therapy Common Questions Is neural therapy painful? Most patients tolerate it very well. The injections are small and superficial, and sessions are generally brief. How many sessions will I need? This varies depending on the individual and the condition being addressed. Many patients begin with 3–5 sessions. Is neural therapy only for pain? No. While it is commonly used for pain support, neural therapy may also help support nervous system regulation, stress resilience, inflammation, and other chronic patterns. What areas do you serve? We provide neural therapy for patients in:CharlotteHuntersvilleDenver, NCCorneliusMooresvilleDavidsonLake Norman and surrounding communities Is neural therapy safe? Yes, it is generally considered very safe when performed by a trained medical professional. Because the anesthetic used is highly diluted (usually a 0.5% to 1% solution) and administered in small amounts, the risk of systemic toxicity is incredibly low. What are the risks and side effects with neural therapy? Common short term effects: injection pain, bruising, temporary numbness, faintness, brief emotional reactions. Rare but serious risks include allergic reaction to anesthetic or infection of site. Screening for anesthetic allergies and contraindications is recommended. APRIL BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT TorchBearer Tachyon Chamber Owner: Adrienne Craighead Website: www.TorchBearerTachyon.com Phone: 980-689-1803 Address: 20200 Zion Ave, Suite 11 Cornelius, NC 28031 Adrienne Craighead is a seeker, a mom, a sister and a friend. She’s the Starseed daughter of a Marine Corps helicopter pilot who enjoyed being part of a military family because she loved meeting new people, seeing new places and trying new things - even as a child! After she finished her undergraduate degree at the Honors College at the University of South Carolina, she took off for Auckland New Zealand as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar in 1995. Her overseas experiences reinforced her passion for travel and adventure as well as teaching and public speaking (as her commitment to Rotary included giving speeches all across NZ about life in the USA - and similarly to Carolinas based Rotary chapters about her time living as a Kiwi Down Under.) Adrienne spends her days as the Director of Financial Development for a nonprofit called Apparo (which is Latin for “to assist, to prepare, to make ready.” The mission for Apparo is to help other nonprofits operate more efficiently and effectively by leveling up their business processes using technology. Founded over 20 years ago, Apparo has served over 750 nonprofits to date, from as many mission areas as you can name including hunger and homelessness, animals and the arts, cancer and Alzheimer’s, and the list goes on. As the agency’s leading fundraiser, she oversees a team that generates an annual operating budget of almost a quarter of a million dollars via individual donations, grants and corporate donations and sponsorships. Adrienne's passion project is being the owner and founder of TorchBearer Tachyon in Charlotte, NC. She first learned about the healing properties of tachyons on a weekend visit to Waynesboro Virginia in the spring of 2021. Her serendipitous meeting of Dr. Joe McNamara introduced her to the science behind these subatomic particles, but it was her actual EXPERIENCE within his tachyon chamber that convinced her of the merits of them. She opened TorchBearer Tachyon in the fall of 2022 to bring the experience to friends and neighbors in the Lake Norman area of Charlotte (and the reviews that they’ve received from early adopters are incredibly encouraging!) Symptoms can include decreased estrogen levels, bleeding, constipation, stretch marks, hair loss and stubborn belly fat. Additionally, the vagina may experience bruising, swelling, stretching, dryness and overall pain. GAINSWave® For Her is great for women six months postpartum to: Improve vaginal laxity Help improve urinary incontinence Rejuvenate the vagina Get back to how they looked & felt pre-pregnancy and childbirth Reduce scar tissue from episiotomy repair Treatment for Chronic Conditions Associated with Dyspareunia GAINAWave® for Her can also aid in reducing dyspareunia or pain, as well as increasing pain-threshold in patients with chronic conditions that often diminish the overall quality of sexual life. These inflammatory response conditions can include Vulvodynia, Vestibulodynia, Interstitial Cystitis, and Pelvic Pain Syndrome. The standard treatments that are currently offered can further induce pain with intrusive diagnostics and procedures. Rather than adding to this issue, GAINSWave® for Her instead offers a non- invasive, pain-free solution to decrease the uncomfortable and debilitating symptoms often associated with inflammatory conditions. Treatment for Urinary Incontinence and Overactive Bladder GAINSWave® For Her and shockwave therapy has been clinically studied and found to be successful in treating urinary incontinence and an overactive bladder by reducing bladder leakage, decreasing frequency and urgency, improving pelvic floor, and regenerating bladder wall tissue. While urinary incontinence and an overactive bladder is generally associated with aging, it can actually happen at any stage in a woman’s life. Current treatments include pharmaceuticals, surgeries, adult diapers, catheters, etc. GAINSWave® For Her offers a non-invasive, pain-free, and efficient approach that minimizes the inconvenience of wearable devices and diapers by alleviating symptoms of leakage, frequency, and urgency. Treatment for Perimenopause, Menopause & Post Menopause Perimenopause occurs a few years before menopause commences. This is the time when the ovaries start to produce less estrogen and menstruation becomes irregular. Women generally experience perimenopause in their 40s, but it can start in their late 30s or earlier. Whereas, menopause is the stage when a woman has not had her menstrual period for 12 consecutive months. At this time, the ovaries have stopped releasing eggs, and estrogen production is significantly reduced. Perimenopause and menopause may affect a woman’s body in numerous ways and can continue into post-menopause. Symptoms may include a bladder leakage, hot flashes, decreased skin elasticity, problems sleeping and weight gain. With decreased hormone levels it’s no surprise the vagina experiences change as well, which can include: Dryness Painful intercourse Thinning of the vaginal lining Reduced sex drive GAINSWave® For Her helps women during and after menopause by increasing blood flow to the vagina resulting in increased sensitivity, natural lubrication, higher sex drive, restoration of new vaginal tissue and strengthening of muscles to improve urinary incontinence.
